Sereia Do mar

Sereia Do Mar is a Brasilian dance company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The dance group is managed and choreographed by Luciano Carvalho. The dance perfomances covers many styles and are arranged to be a journey through modern and traditional dances in afro-brazilian culture. Specifically dances from the states Bahia and Rio de Janeiro are represented. The show also touches on Carnival samba and Capoeira. These images are from one of their colourful shows in Kulturhuset (Islands Brygge) in November 2004. Click on the images to view them in full size.
