Well organized site. But am just wondering, was the site designed specifically for East Africans alone?

Webmaster comment:

Not at all. I am Danish and you will also find photos from Cameroon and other places in the world. Haven't (yet) been all over Africa though ;-)

Elizabeth, U.S.A 01-01-1970 00:00:00

Jambo
My name is Elizabeth Njoroge and I was born in mombasa, Kenya and I'm now living in the U.S.

I was just browsing the internet looking for pitures of African models and I came upon your page. I'm aspiring model and I feel really happy that you have African culture on your page. Usually when you see Pictures of anything relating to Africa its usually negative.

Write back, Elizabeth

Tabeth, Zimbabwe 01-01-1970 00:00:00

Thanks for this beautiful site, and I was happy to listen to the Kizingo Arts Troup version of "Malaika".

Tim Fouche, South Africa 01-01-1970 00:00:00

Your site is very informative, and you must be commended for attempting to build an understanding into African affairs. Like you I strive for understanding and respect for different cultures, especially in Africa.

However, I have some reservations as to how balanced your view on Mozambiques recent history is. You portray the first Mozambican government to be saints and you then join hundreds of other sources in stereotyping all white people who live in Africa. Most of the 600 000 portugeuse speaking people now living in South Africa have their roots in Mozambique, where they once fled for their lives with nothing but the clothes on their bodies. To assert that they, in general, destroyed everything they could before they left, is not true, unfair and even dangerous in todays climate of African nationalism, where minorities, black and white, are targeted. That the post-independent Mozambique had a "place for everyone", is simply not true. Why do you put "communist" in quotes when you refer to the Mozambique government? Private ownership of property, even to this day, is illegal, and they did receive support from the Soviet Union. That is communism, not "communism.

Hello Jacob, I am totally mesmerized by your web page and the wealth of information regarding Africa that you have placed on it too. Thanks a ton for the information I am sure many people have and will continue to benefit from your information. I will be travelling to Douala this November to visit some aquaintances of mine. I am originally from Central America and have never ventured to the Africa Continent before so I am really nervous about the travel. However, what I've read from you really wets my interest. Thanks.
