Gizeh

Cheops Pyramid in Gizeh, Egypt. By 1937 the village of Gizeh had already become a part of the expanding Egyptian capital, Cairo.

 

The Sphinx

Gizeh

Tourists are taken for a ride
German tourists on Camel Back. Tourism quickly developed in Egypt. In 1937 the five minute camel ride from the tramway to the pyramids was charged with at least 5 Shillings.
